Day 3 (B) – San Carlos de Bariloche
A local factory in Bariloche produces more than 3,000 tons of exquisite chocolate every year, and your morning will be spent visiting some of these famous chocolate shops and sampling some of their inventive creations. You will remain downtown for lunch and an afternoon of shopping and visiting with the friendly people who call this home. Also in the afternoon, you are invited to partake in the tradition of afternoon tea. Situated on top of Mount Otto, this quaint tea shop (of the same name) serves locally brewed tea and miniature desserts. Day 4 (B,D) – San Carlos de Bariloche/Villa La Angostura

Another Patagonian breakfast will leave you very satisfied before you are taken on a short flight to Calafate, a town located in southern Patagonia. Along your drive to the intimate and extremely private Eolo Lodge, you will catch glimpses of small cracks from the glaciers floating along the Lago Argentino, which is a milky turquoise due to the sediment brought on from glaciers melting. As you are welcomed to this exquisite and exclusive resort, you will have the chance to do some impressive stargazing from the gathering area's powerful telescope.

TEMPT YOUR PALATE IN PATAGONIA:
In search of culinary treasures and sumptuous spirits, Patagonia will excite the most avid of gourmands and wine enthusiasts. The region's cuisine is unique due to a mix of Spanish, Italian and German influences. Options are endless on local menus, causing patrons to take a little longer in making their dining decisions.

Some of Patagonia's most popular dishes are wild meats such as deer, wild boar and Patagonian lamb. For a true Patagonian experience, we make sure guests experience a real ´asado criollo´ (spit-roast barbeque). This spit-roast style of cooking meat is a longtime ritual in Argentinean cuisine.

Italian cuisine enthusiasts are always stupefied at the wide array of homemade pastas using regional fillings and topped with exotic mushroom, tomato or cheese sauces. Not to mention, Patagonia's pizza and ice-cream rival Italy's best.

For those with a sweet tooth, don't despair. Bariloche produces over 3,000 tons of chocolate per year. Chocolate lovers won't be able to resist taking home some of Bariloche's finest ´chocolatè en rama´.

´Dulce de leche´, a creamy caramel, is excellent on morning croissants and pastries. It is the main ingredient in making the local treat, the ´alfajor´, which consists of two cookies surrounding a dulce de leche center.

For wine connoisseurs, Chilean and Argentinean vineyards can be found all over Patagonia, taking advantage of the region's perfect conditions to produce excellent grapes for winemaking.

Vintners keep careful watch to harvest grapes at the peak of ripeness. Wild berries infuse delicate flavors into each variety of wine, be it the bold reds like the locally favored Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, or the voluptuous whites like Torrontes and Pedro Jimenez.

Visits and stays at a variety of vineyards are available for those interested in learning about the winemaking process.
