Day 1 Arrival in Bangkok
Upon arrival in Bangkok, you will be met & greeted by our local guide at
the airport and transferred to your hotel for check-in.
Day 2 Bangkok
Morning: Thonburi Klongs (canals) & Grand Palace
This morning, we visit the Grand Palace, comprising the Funeral Palace,
the Reception Palace, the Throne Hall, the Coronation Hall, the Royal
Guest House, and the beautiful Emerald Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Kaew).
Then we will travel by longtail boat through the klongs to see the
family homes, temples and way of life, which gives this city the name
“Venice of the East”. Stop at the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun) whose 79m
spire has become a symbol Bangkok. There will be time for taking photos!
Afternoon: Visit Jim Thompson House
This afternnon, we'll enjoy lunch at Jim Thompson House. After
lunch, visit Jim Thompson’s magnificent Thai-style house which contains
a collection of art objects and antiques. In additional to the Museum,
relax with a cup of coffee in the stylish café or browse through the
wonderful collection of silk products. It is a relaxing escape from the
bustling streets of Bangkok.
Time permitting we will also visit Suan Pakkad Palace Museum formerly a
private residence of the Princess. View her collection of antiquities.
Most of the pavilions are open and are simply decorated.
Evening: Dinner cruise on board the “Manohra”
Enjoy a uniquely Thai Cuisine in an exotic setting whilst cruising
aboard the ‘Manohra’, a beautifully restored rice barge, on the historic
Chao Phraya River, as you pass the famous “River of Kings” landmarks as
Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) and the Grand Palace.

Day 3 BANGKOK
Morning at leisure.
Afternoon: enjoy shopping at Central World Plaza
There used to be a very large shopping complex at Rajaprasong
Intersection called World Trade Center. A few years back the property
was acquired by the Central Group, the largest developer of department
stores in Thailand. While World Trade Center was quite an adequate name,
the shopping complex was renamed Central World Plaza, and lately seems
to go under the abbreviated name Central World.
Evening: Dinner at Sirocco Restaurant
This spectacular restaurant is located on 63rd story of Bangkok landmark
building with Greco-Roman architectural design. The gold dome brings
about both the glamour and the midst of classical of the Roman Empire.
Sirocco consisting in ninth parts including sky bar, open to the highest
sky of Bangkok. The champagne bar "Flute", Whiskey bar distilled, Oyster
bar, and an Italian restaurant with a wine cellar. The food is fabulous
and you can choose from one of the largest wine collection from 20,000
bottles. The cooking is superb and of course with to the Thai
philosophical of cooking therefore contains all 5 flavors in all dishes.

Day 4 Bangkok – Chiang Mai
This morning, we will be transferred to Bangkok Airport for your flight
to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival Chiang Mai, you will be transferred to your
hotel for check-in.
This afternoon, we will visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, The city of
Chiang Mai has many beautiful and historic Buddhist temples and today,
visit the 600 year old temple of Wat Pra That Doi Suthep, the landmark
of Chiang Mai located near the summit of Doi Suthep. After a drive up
the mountain's winding road, the final climb to the site is via a
magnificent Naga (dragon-headed serpent) staircase of 306 steps. Inside
is an intriguing copper-plated chedi topped by a five-tier gold umbrella
which contains partial relics of Lord Buddha. On a clear day, there are
incomparable views over the city of Chiang Mai.
Evening: Enjoy dinner at Deck 1 Restaurant
Situated on the riverfront of Ping River, you can take in the beauty of
Chiang Mai city in a relaxing atmosphere of open-air natural
surroundings. It is a place where locals and Thai and foreign visitors
can entertain special guests or just enjoy relaxing meal by the river.
After dinner, we will have an experience of taking a trishaw ride [1pax:
1vehicle] for a visit to Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. With its wide rage of
goods at competitive prices, this easily rivals Bangkok’s Chatuchak
Market. Inside are endless stalls selling hill tribe crafts, leather
goods and clothing.

Day 5 Chiang Mai
Elephant at work at Chiang Dao with riding & river rafting
Approximately 60kms north of Chiang Mai, situated on the banks of the
Ping River, is Chiang Dao elephant camp. In an unspoiled setting, be
amazed by the elephants performing amazing feats of strength and skill,
at the command of their "mahouts". Then follows an elephant trekking
with river rafting. To glide effortlessly and silently along the river
on a bamboo raft is a wonderful experience and a great way to relax
after the exhilaration of your elephant riding. Lunch is at a local
restaurant. On the return to Chang Mai, visit to an Orchid Farm
displaying a full variety of some of Thailand’s exquisite blooms. (River
rafting is only conducted when weather and river conditions permit)
Dinner is on your own arrangement.

Day 6 Chiang Mai
Morning - Optional Tour : Balloon Flight
There is no better way to see the beauty of Chiang Mai than by a gentle
free-floating balloon flight over the mysterious countryside. Flying
over the wide plains of the Ping River Valley you can enjoy the
breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains and terraced rice paddies.
The many beautiful temples are also typical in the Chiang Mai area. This
view of earth and the sky is one that can be experienced in on other
way. After a beautiful flight of approximately one hour, we will land
wherever the wind will bring us and enjoy a champagne style breakfast
served at the landing site. The pilot as a remembrance of the majestic
flight will also award customers with a flight certificate.

Day 7 Chiang Mai
Morning at leisure
Afternoon: Local Handicrafts Village
This afternoon, we will visit the San Kamphaeng district, heart of the
silk and cotton home industries, to witness the fascinating process of
making and weaving these popular fabrics. Continue on the Bor Sang, the
umbrella village, where the delicate Thai paper umbrellas are produced
and hand-painted. From here, we travelonwards to Thai Celadon, where
exquisite ceramics are produced. These are modeled on the Sawankhalok
pottery that used to be made hundreds of years ago at Sukhothai and
exported all over the region. Last but not least, are stops to observe
the intricacies of both lacquerware and silverware craftsmen. Then,
return to your hotel.
Evening: Dinner at Le Grand Lanna Restaurant
In the evening transfer to the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi for
Farewell dinner at Le Grand Lanna Restaurant. Ancient Lanna culture has
been the foundation of northern Thai lifestyle for almost a thousand
years. There is no better way of experiencing the atmosphere and ideas
of Lanna than t at Le Grand Lanna. Modeled on the original architectural
design, this teak restaurant is set in 28 acres of beautiful garden.
As a fitting climax to the evening, you will be invited to help in
launching a series of Kom Loy (hot air balloons). The Kom Loy is a
special hot air balloon made of very fine rice paper with a candle in
the center at the base made of beers wax, to which fireworks are
attached. When the candle is lit, hot air fills the balloon causing it
to rise high into the sky.

Day 8 Depart Chiang Mai
Breakfast at hotel & morning at leisure until your transfer to Chiang
Mai airport for your flight to Bangkok and connect your flight home. . .
