Day 2 – Full day city tour and lunch

Barrio Gótico
The Gothic Quarter is one of the oldest and most interesting parts of
Barcelona. The square of Sant Jaume was once forum at the time of Romans, and
there are many remains of old fortifications still to be seen such as
the port of Plaça Nova. At this square, you'll also find
the Palacio de la Generalitat and Palacio del Ayuntamiento (townhall).
In Calle Paradis, on top of the mountain Táber, you will find an old
millstone, home to the Iberian tribes long before the time of Roman
empire.
At Plaza del Rei, you'll see the Palacio Real Mayor, Iglesia de Santa
Agata and Palacio Archivo de la Corona de Aragón, the Gothic
cathedral and the medieval palaces of Casa dels Canonges, Pia Almoina
and Ardiaca.
Las Ramblas
This 2 kilometer boulevard, between Plaza de
Catalunya and the port, reflects the true essence of Barcelona. Here, you will find people of all age and social class

business-galleries, cafeterias, terraces as well as some of the great
theaters of the city. Notable architecture includes the Academia
de Sciencias (Academy of Science), with its giant watch from 1868, the

beautiful halls and extraordinary wall-paintings. It is used frequently
for expositions.
El Puerto
The port, located at the end of Las Ramblas, is dominated by the tower
of Colón. From the top of the tower, you'll have a fantastic view of Barcelona
and the great boulevard Paseo de Colón.
El Ensanche
The modern center of Barcelona, built between 1870 and 1936, was planned
by architect Cerdá, who wanted to create an luxurious district for the
bourgeoisie and enlarged the city five times its original size. All
the streets in El Ensanche cross rectangularity, an unusual thing in European town
planning. The best known monuments in El Ensanche are the works of
Antoní Gaudí, the great cathedral Sagrada Familia, Park Güell and
Palacio Güell, together with Casa de los Punxes and Casa Amatler de Puig
i Cadalfach, all of them masterworks of modernistic style. The central
square is Plaza de Catalunya, with an area comparable to the Vatican in
Rome, which stands symbolic for Barcelona's mentality of constant
innovation and change.
Montjuic
The mountain of Montjuic was the scenery of the World Exposition of
1929, for which the Pueblo Español was built. The buildings there
represent all the architectural styles typical for Spain. In 1992 the
Olympic Games was held here.
Tibidabo
You arrive to the top of the mountain by the only tramway that still
exists in Barcelona. Tibidabo is also homew to one of the most famous and
spectacular amusement-parks of Europe.
Parc de la Ciutadella
Parc de la Ciutadella is the site of the 1868 World Exposition.
Parc de la Ciutadella is home of
the Parliament of Catalunya, the statue of the "Lady with the Umbrella,"
several museums and the zoological garden.
The Barcelona of Antoní Gaudí
Antoni Gaudi was one of the most important modernist style architects
worldwide. Many of his most extraordinary works are to be found here in

Day 5 – Helicopter, Barcelona Montserrat & Can Bonastre
After breakfast, your private transfer will take you to Sabadell where your
will board your helicopter for ascenic tour of Barcelona.
You'll enjoy panoramic views of the city of
Barcelona from its main tourist attraction - the sea. You will see the
skyline of the city and the spectacular grids and patterns of lines
formed by its streets and avenues directly from the sea.
From the departure point, we will take off and go directly to the
northern point of the comarca, or county, of Barcelona. Along the way,
we will fly over Vallès Occidental (Rubí, Sant Cugat and Cerdanyola) and
head towards the northern part of Collserola Park, the green heart of
Barcelona, before penetrating the metropolitan area. We will see the
knot of the Trinitat, the city of Badalona, the Forum of Cultures, the
Olympic Port, the beaches of Mar Bella, Port Vell, the Montjuïc Mountain
and the Olympic Ring.

Day 6 – Figueres - Dalí
Today's tour will take you to Figueres, hometown of Salvador Dali,
for some free time to explore the area and a visit to the Teatre-Museu
Gala Salvador Dalí, a large museum designed by Dalí himself, which
houses one of the largest collections of Dali's work in the world. The
building itself can be considered a work of art - an absolute must for
art lovers!
Dalí was a skilled draftsman, best known for the striking and bizarre
images in his surrealist work. His painterly skills are often attributed
to the influence of Renaissance masters. His best-known work, The
Persistence of Memory, was completed in 1931. Dalí's expansive artistic
repertoire includes film, sculpture, and photography, in collaboration
with a range of artists in a variety of media.
Interestingly, Figueres is also the birthplace of Narcís
Monturiol i Estarriol, inventor of the first successful machine powered
submarine. Also born here was Monica Naranjo, one of the best selling
Spanish singers of the 1990s and 2000s.

Day 7 - Codorníu Cellars
Today you'll visit one of the best European cava cellars located in
Sant Sadurni d'Anoia, just one hour outside of Barcelona. Visit
one of the most famous wine producers of the Penedes region,
Codorníu Cellars,
where you can explore their vast wine cellars and sample their
world-famous product, to see exactly why their sparkling wines have
acquired such international fame.
What is Cava?
Champagne was the first sparkling wine and it is the most famous.
Only wines made in the Champagne region of France may be called
Champagne. Spain produces many fine sparkling wines, called cava after
the cellars in which the wine is produced. These wines are made in the
“méthode champenoise” or “Champagne method,” which is the same method
that is used to make Champagne.
